ElaineWho?

My name is Elaine Rogers and I’m a seasoned journalist with decades of experience in roles ranging from print and radio news reporter to feature writer, magazine editor and content development specialist. Calling my business SplendidlySaid, I split my time between freelance assignments from consumer publications and PR and web development projects for companies and nonprofits in need of crisper communication tools in order to engage audiences and achieve their brand-building goals.

As a a detail-minded wordsmith who still gets jazzed by any project that involves weaving words and images together to create meaningful messages, I have a knack for sifting through dry information and packaging it prettily for targeted audiences.

Through the years, my byline has appeared  on a wide range of local and national consumer publications like WOMEN’S SPORTS & FITNESS, LADIES” HOME JOURNAL, TRAVEL & LEISURE, Parenthood.com, DALLAS CHILD, the DALLAS MORNING NEWS and TEXAS BUSINESS.  I cut my teeth in the magazine world as national editor of TRAVELHOST, editor of Dallas-Fort Worth HOUSE & HOME and senior editor of SOLUTIONS AT HOME. Most recently, as Features Editor at THE FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, I handled travel editor, home & garden editor and health editor roles in addition to various”worker bee” editorial functions for the paper’s luxury magazine, INDULGE, and a newer venture, a community publication in northeast Tarrant County called K.

Operating on the premise that it makes no sense to “just say something” when you could say it splendidly, my goal is to help you  connect with your clients, customers and stakeholders with editorial that inspires as well as informs.
